The Bleu-de-Chanel from the French company Chanel was released in 2010. It was the first fragrance released by Chanel since Allure in 1999. The perfume was developed by the perfumer Jacques Polge for Chanel to cater to the demand for perfumes with a fresh citrus smell. The perfume has been developed for men and has a distinctively masculine smell.

The distinctive fragrance of each perfume is linked to the ingredients which are being used in the perfume. For the Creed Aventus, Bergamot, apple, black currant leaves, pineapple form the top notes, Pink berries, birch, jasmine, patchouli are used for the middle notes, musk, amber grease, dark moss comprise the bottom notes.

Creed uses its distinctive infusion process to create the perfume, with ingredients carefully weighed, mixed, macerated and filtered.

Though the Cologne version of Bleu-de-Chanel was first created in 2010, Chanel has enhanced it to create the Eau de parfum version in 2014, and perfume was released in 2018. The notes for the perfume are lemon zest, cedar, geranium, lavender, and new Caledonian sandalwood.

Both the perfumes should be sprayed directly on the skin so that they last for a long time. Ideally, the perfumes should be sprayed on the wrist and the neck. Typically the perfumes will retain their fragrance for approximately fourteen hours after they are sprayed.

Creed Aventus is available in sprays and flacons of different sizes 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1000 ml. In comparison the Chanel perfume spray is available in fewer sizes like 50 ml, 100 ml, 150 ml, and 300 ml. Chanel offers complimentary samples of the perfume.

Though Creed Aventus is expensive with a 50 ml spray priced at $325, it is the best selling perfume in the history of the company. In comparison, Bleu-de-Chanel is a more affordable price. However, Creed Aventus is cheaper if purchased in larger quantities like 1000 ml. Hence based on the fragrance preferred by the user, he can choose the perfume he prefers.
