Habits are inseparable from our existence. We try to cultivate habits that are good and avoid habits that are not so. When it comes to maintaining your health and younger-looking even in your 60s, there is no alternative to good habits.

However, in this article, we will focus not on good habits that keep your health up, but on 8 bad habits that actually destroy your younger-looking and make you look older and broken with a load of age.

Bad Habits

1. Not Sleeping Enough:

It is the sleep that heals and restores your body and prepares it to work with new strength. The modern age is marked by more work and less sleep. But, our body and mind need a balance between work and sleep. When we deny the need of our body to sleep, we actually destroy none but our health.

However, the first thing that the lack of sleep affects is our looks. When we lack sleep, our skin becomes dark and sallow, and under-eye dark circles appear. Usually, an adult needs 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. If we cannot ensure that, we have to face the catastrophe in exchange for our younger look.

2. Low Water Intake:

Our human body can be compared to a sponge. When a dry sponge is immersed in water, it softens and becomes live. The same thing happens to our body. Our tissues cannot maintain their cellular functions without water.

When our body gets dehydrated, our body also starts losing its luster and liveliness resulting in an older, tired, and burdened look. However, usually, we should take 3 to 4 liters of water per day. Try to have 2 glasses of water every 2 hours. This will make your eyes and skin look brighter and you will also feel better regarding your muscles and joints.

3. Taking Too Much Sugar:

Sugar

Sugar is sweet to your mouth but very dangerous to your body and overall health. It makes you gain weight and add layers of fat on your thighs, belly and thus has adverse effects on your skin. Many of us take soft drinks and energy drinks, those are actually nothing but a lump of sugar.

When your skin and blood vessels soak sugar, they become unhealthy and you age more rapidly than ever. Try to consume natural sweet fruits and cut down sugar in your tea and coffee if you are really really serious about protecting your looks.

4. Smoking and Drinking Alcohol:

Is there anything in your body that is not affected by smoking and excess drinking of Alcohol? The answer is a big “NO”. Smoking affects your lungs, kidneys, respiratory system and whatnot. It doesn’t even leave eyes, mouth, bones, bladder and reproductive organs unharmed.

The same thing happens when you drink an excessive amount of alcohol. This may excite you for an hour, but by the passage of time, your body becomes weak and your immune system gets affected. So, if you do not want to get your body ruined, you have no alternative without giving up the habit of smoking and drinking Alcohol outright.

5. Not Exercising Regularly:

These days, we take more calories than ever. Protein and complex carbohydrates have become part of our daily food habits. These foods are rich in calories and when these calories don’t get burned, you are supposed to be fast and get your weight up resulting in a bad shape. That’s why exercising regularly counts.

If you are not regular in your exercise, you will get fatigued easily. It doesn’t mean that you need to go to the gym every day. Just walking, skipping, running, etc. will do if you continue regularly for 30 minutes. Avoid using lifts or elevators all the time. Rather use stairs to go up and get down. Exercising regularly will make your skin glow by helping to shed dead skin cells and boosting your mood.

6. Skipping Meals:

Many people believe that skipping meals will help them to lose weight. Nothing can be far from the truth than this belief. Skipping meals never helps to lose weight, rather it does the opposite. When you skip your regular meals, your body gets used to this mechanism and absorb all the food you take as fat to supply for the time when you do not take food. That’s why eating regularly is very important.

Try to have 6 small meals a day instead of 2 or 3 big meals. When your stomach is empty, your brain doesn’t work in full mode as it is supposed to do. And ultimately if badly affects your look. So, try eating healthy foods like peanuts, almonds, oranges, etc. that contain Vitamins and minerals necessary for a younger look.

7. Stressing Much:

Bad--Habits

If you have the habit of taking too much stress on things, you are in a danger zone. Stressing affects your entire nervous system and is very bad for your health. Do not overthink on any issue. Just live with the present and work for the future. Do not let depression and anxiety come over on your way.

When you are stressed, your body releases certain hormones that badly affect your look. You look old, sallow, burdened, tired, and fatigued. Your body chemicals help you to remain sound when you are relaxed. But when you are stressed, you end up getting blemishes, rashes, etching lines on your face, and many more other complexities that are enemy to your healthy plump look.

To stay young forever, you have to kick out stress from your life.

8. Using Chemical-Based Products:

It is best to use natural products to maintain your younger look. Many seem to be attracted to cheap priced chemical-based products that claim to solve all the problems in a week or month. You should always avoid products where harmful chemicals are used.

Your face wash and cleanser or men’s cream can destroy your look if you use them excessively without evaluating the ingredients they are made of. Avoid products that come with excessive Mercury or toxic ingredients like this. Try to buy beauty products from a trusted shop and a trusted brand.

Also if it makes gents feel better -men naturally have more collagen than women so, your likely be more youthful than your female counterparts.
